Types of Care We Can Offer
As a Care Inspectorate registered home care provider, we offer a range of adult social services including but not limited to: personal care, housework, assistance with shopping, medication prompts, preparing and serving meals, attending clubs, appointments and social activities. These care options can be standalone services or combined to suit your individual needs.
Personal Care
Know that our Home Care Assistants (HCAs) are here to help if you’ve noticed you or a family member is struggling to maintain personal daily living tasks. Washing, getting dressed or using the bathroom can all become more difficult with certain conditions or age.
Our HCAs can help with skin care and makeup, hair styling and shaving. Plus, they’re able to signpost any requirements for aids or additional equipment to the relevant professional. All of this takes place in a familiar setting and will be delivered with respect; retaining your dignity and self-pride at all times.
Benefits of Personal Care
Consistent personal care plays an essential role in the health and wellbeing of you or your loved one. With our HCAs aiding personal care, your needs will always be taken care of with sensitivity, dignity and respect. Enjoying an independent lifestyle, you can now receive locally run help in your own home; surrounded by memories, possessions and pets.
Domiciliary Care
We can provide a little extra help without full-time support. Domiciliary care is ideal if you or a loved one is finding it difficult to complete housekeeping tasks and run errands. Making your life easier, our HCAs can help with things such as personal care, general housekeeping, meal prep as well as day-to-day errands.
Benefits of Domiciliary Care
This type of care can help you remain in your own home. It also eases stress on family members who are unable to provide support due to personal circumstances, distance or time constraints.
Companionship Care
We understand that loneliness is a real issue for many people today. The Covid-19 pandemic has left us feeling more isolated than ever. That’s where our Home Care Assistants (HCAs) can provide regular company and friendship.
Our companionship care service can include having a cup of tea and a wee chat with you in your own home. Or they can accompany you on trips to The Howgate and shops, hairdressers, library or local coffee shop. Also, we try to match our clients with a companion with similar interests, so now you can share your favourite hobby or activity.
Benefits of Companionship Care
Knowing someone will be visiting you can often make all the difference. Indeed, many health conditions can be triggered by loneliness, whereas having that all-important interaction keeps the mind stimulated. Our HCAs love talking and we’re sure you do too.
Available alongside our personal care provision, or as a standalone service, our caring HCAs can reassure and reduce the pressure on your family, who often have work and young family commitments.
24 Hour Care
There are times when you or a loved one needs care and support 24 hours a day. For instance, it may be needed after a hospital stay, a fall or an illness, or while a longer-term solution is found. Know that our dedicated HCAs are here to provide support when it matters.
Benefits of 24 Hour Care
Providing continuity after leaving hospital, our 24-hour care service helps to support and reassure you and your family. Short-term care at home is far less stressful and enables you to stay in familiar surroundings; with the comfort of having your own things close to hand.
Short-Term Care
Sometimes, you’ll only need our care and support for a short time, possibly a few weeks. For instance, you may request our services after being in hospital, a fall, an illness or until a longer-term option can be found.
Benefits of Short-Term Care
Our HCAs can provide you with the care that you need after being discharged from hospital. Delivering continued support whilst recovering at home, you and your family will experience less stress or disruption to your normal routine.
Overnight Care
Adults of all ages, including those suffering with Dementia or Alzheimer’s, can often have a disturbed sleep pattern. Waking up several times each night can lead sufferers to feel confused and compromise their safety.
That’s where our waking care will ensure you or your loved one is safe and cared for. Having a HCA there with them means they won’t come to any harm whilst you’re unable to be there.
Benefits of Overnight Care
Overnight care can help re-establish vital sleep patterns and provides that all-important reassurance that your relative is safe. We can provide sustained overnight care to maintain the care you or your parent(s) receive.
Respite Care
You need to care for yourself so you can care for others. Respite services are there to care for you as well as the primary carer, usually a relative or close friend. We’d recommend it for the role it plays in preserving your carer’s overall wellbeing.
A short-term care option, it offers them moments to recharge their batteries.
Benefits of Respite Care
Respite care stops the primary carer experiencing mental ‘overwhelm’. They can go on a well-deserved holiday, socialise or spend time resting; reassured that your loved one is being cared for by our dedicated HCAs.
This temporary service can be organised for as little as an afternoon, a week or overnight.
Younger Adult Care
At Nightingale Home Care, we can also support younger adults (aged 16 and over) to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. This fosters independence and helps them get to and from work, education, appointments and social visits with friends.
We aim to find Home Care Assistants (HCAs) who can support young adults with their lifestyle and preferred routines. Our visits can be for short calls daily or throughout the week; offering a friendly face whenever needed.
Benefits of Younger Adult Care
Younger adults want to live as freely as their peers. Having a HCA who is motivated to support them and their life choices can be very liberating and boosts their confidence. They become more independent and sociable, living a fuller life similar to others of their own age.
Here at Nightingale Home Care in Falkirk, we’ll work with you to provide adult care services that’ll enhance you or a loved one’s quality of life.
